Agreed .. very sad,I have a feelin they`ll be caught before the weeks out. I sincerely hope you are right and would urge anyone who hears anything no matter how trivial they think it is to tell the Police immediately. These low life don't deserve to be free.

There is no way they would of avoided the device by mounting the kerb with two wheels, more like get out of the way or we will run you over, that's the mindset of the morons today, threaten push shove if they can't get their own way, and the poor lad has lost his life all because some little toe rag decided he wanted a car to show off in, someone knows who they are, give them up, do something decent for a change

I would ban police car chases entirely. Too many people are killed by it.
We hear about it when it is a policeman, but usually it is not. It is, however, every bit as tragic to their family if the victim is the thief. Recovering a car is nowhere near as important as the preservation of life. Around 2,000 people were injured last year in accidents involving police chasing cars or racing to a 999 call, 25 people were killed last year and the number is growing - it has tripled in four years. It would seem very likely that the TV 'Police chase' shows have contributed to this total.
In this particular case, it would seem to have been wise, having blocked the carriageway with stingers, to stand well clear of the only available way through, but I suppose hindsight is easy after the event.

They're half way there already - its their policy not to chase motorbikes if the rider doesn't have a helmet on, or is carrying a passenger. They may call for air support. So if you're a crim and want a quick getaway, do it on a motorbike without a helmet.
