Discovery Channel mid-late September

make sure ya watch it

They were out filming with us last night and are out today following Jenny (from mnr) and I'm goin out with em again

They're doing a series following events out on the streets here, in the US and in Japan. Last night was MNR's little section, today they're showing a day in the life of a girl ra**r ( ) and the rest of the week they're going down to Essex and Southend following things there

should be a good series watch out for my camerawork sittin in the back of a BMW and in the passenger seat of a Corsa last

I'd be carful with TV companys Meesh, they have the ability to bite you in the ass.

What a great idea, exposing illegal street racing to the public and the authorities, why didnt i think of that :rolleyes:

Where do i sign up to have my car and my face shown on television doing illegal things for everyone to see :rolleyes:

Why not take them down town and ask drug dealers if you can film them selling drugs whilst the camera crew are about eh :rolleyes:

Is it just me or does the word "Stupid" spring to mind?

Yeah, all nice and pally when they want you for their filming, only to turn round and make you look worse than an axe murderer.

Expect to be called stupid, irrisponsible, dangerous etc when it does actually appear on TV :rolleyes:

The "Racing" is kept out of the way for a reason, TV exposure is only going to be a BAD thing for anyone who owns a modified car

You would never even see me at MNR cos i just think that sorta stuff is pointless. You wanna prove your cars faster than mine. Get to CRAIL and race on the strip,this has its advantages as
1.Its controlled
2.You get read-outs on speed RT and ET
3.You can do it for 8 hours and not get in trouble
4.Keeps your liscense
5.Only costs 15 quid ALL DAY
6.IS LEGAL

I dont respect illegal racing/racers and am disgusted to see it bragged about. In F-UK last month at the MNR cruise we went to i was surprised to see 95% of the spread was about racing.Im glad my car wasnt in it as i dont wanna be associated with MNR or the illegal scene in any way!

wen will people learn!!!!!!!!u wanna do things illegal keep it off tv watever u do its just stupidity boastin about it ok i enjoy watchin it and takin part :rolleyes: (not anymore) all u have 2 do is look at front of my car and u see wat racin does dont do it as im lucky 2 of escaped with just a bruise i think i may not of been here if id gone into a wall and i could of killed someone or myself!!! but........im finished doin that stuff no more im behaved!!!!!but i would NOT have my car filmed ids keep well out the way cause i dont wanna look bad on tv!!!! so be warned and any1 filmin keep it 4 u and ur m8s 2 watch not send it in cause thell make u look bad and turn it round on u!!!!

Very difficult thing to pull off this with the right results seen it twice the one we did and the 2 rude to cruz one which was on a couple of weeks ago and quite frankly they came off dreadful and gave the total wrong perspective of us all very stereotypical boy racers in clapped out novas not a good move at all! Involving racing aswell that could be the final coffin in the nail! We will have to see the results of the programme, however not condemning racing Scoop we all dont live in Scotland and lets be honest it aint the best racing in the world is it too organised and very stifled!

Meesh, i got severly shit upon from the BBC as you well know, didnt you learn from that episode ?? I certantly did, trust me.......

Its all too easy to get sucked into the Hype and they become your best friend and promice the earth, they treat you like GOD whilst they are with you, but then they go away, edit the footage, put it alongside another documentry about someone getting mamed for life by a speeding motorist so it looks really bad and your name becomes mud instantly....

No disrespect meesh but am i glad your only a member of Cruisewirral now and not a Mod, dont think we could cope with all that again.

Ok,not the best example. However a day at Crail would be a great day out and its only about 4 hours drive from the wirral. Shows are held there all year round (with the strip open on every show) so you can go and race while seeing some amazing show type stuff. Also theres the thrash every other sunday (few exceptions but thats the gist of it) Ive been 3 times and absolutely loved it every time. Thinkin of goin again pretty soon in the new car to see what she can do OFFICIALLY.

If you dont fancy crail then theres always THE POD (which may be further than crail?!) and there are literally loads of place where u can go for a legal session of speed. Also i think ill go to a hot hatch day at KNOCKHILL soon.They seem great! No wonder we all get tarred with the "street racer brush" when things like MNR go on And get filmed for fapps sake

I know its a bit of a moan and a bitch but i feel strongly upon this matter as its our livlihood that is at stake. You think the Five-0 give you hassle now. Wait a few years down the line and after a few more TV shows we will be hassled 24/7. Why? Cos they think you are about to race.As in the cops eyes "thats all we boy racers do"

Does this "girl racer" have a job? Does she collect benefits? Or if she has a job is it respectable? Just wondering what the british public are gonna think of all young drivers if this girl lives off the state and uses everyones taxes to mod her car
